FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Enrolment & Registration

How do I enrol my child?

You can register through our online Sign-Up form, where you'll provide your child's particulars, current education level, subjects of interest, and your contact details as the parent/guardian. Once submitted, our team will follow up with you via WhatsApp or email within 1–3 business days. You may also send us a WhatsApp message at 96732086..

Is there any assessment for my child before enrolment?

No, there isn't. However, for the first lesson, we would have an analysis session to understand your child's learning style and how your child is currently faring. From there, we will assess the learning style that is most suited for your child as they continue to attend lessons here.

Can I enrol my child partway into the term/month?

Yes, you may. We will prorate the fees according to the number of lessons remaining for that month, so you only pay for what your child actually attends that month.

Class Matters

What are the class timings?

Class timings vary by level and subject. You can find specific timings listed on each programme's page, or reach out to us directly for the latest schedule.

How many students are there in each class?

We keep our class sizes small so that our teachers can give focused, personalised attention to every student. Currently we have about 2-4 students per class.

What happens if my child is unable to attend lessons due to a change in plans?

Cancellations must be communicated in advance via our official WhatsApp channel. Depending on how much notice is given, more than 48 hours' notice allows a make-up lesson with no fee forfeited; 24–48 hours' notice results in 50% of the lesson fee being forfeited, with a make-up lesson still provided; and cancellations within 24 hours will be treated as attended, with the full fee deducted and no make-up lesson offered. For more information, please read our Centre Policies.

Payment & Fees

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, cheque, Paynow/Paylah or NETS. If paying by cheque, please ensure it is made payable to EliteCentro Pte Ltd.

Is there a refund policy if a decision is made to stop my child from attending lessons?

Students wishing to withdraw must notify the centre one month in advance. The deposit collected at registration will be used to offset the following month's tuition fee upon proper withdrawal notice; failure to provide notice will result in the deposit being forfeited.

How does Shi Lin Learning Centre collect lesson fees?

We will contact all parents for payment via WhatsApp. All payments must be made before the start of each month's lessons, ideally by the first week. A late charge of $10 per week will apply if payment is not settled by the second week of the month, capped at the last week of the month.

Are material fees included in course fees?

No, materials fees are collected separately every six months, and the amount varies depending on the subject and level.

What happens if there are 5 weeks in a month?

Fees are prorated accordingly, and you will be informed at the start of that month. For example, if 4 lessons cost $157.50, 5 lessons would be calculated as ($157.50 ÷ 4) × 5 = $196.75.
