Shi Lin Learning Centre was founded in 2003 with a simple belief: every child learns differently, and deserves an environment where that's not just accepted, but built into how they're taught. Over the past two decades, we've grown into a trusted name for families across Singapore, guiding students from Kindergarten all the way through to Secondary school.

At the heart of what we do is small group tuition, kept deliberately small so our teachers can truly get to know each student's strengths, struggles, and pace of learning. Rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum, our lessons are shaped around the individual, helping students build not just stronger grades, but genuine understanding and confidence that lasts well beyond the classroom.

Our teachers are more than just subject specialists. They're mentors who stay closely aligned with the latest MOE syllabus while remaining approachable, encouraging, and invested in every child's personal growth. Our Founder

Cherlyn Teh

Cherlyn Teh founded Shi Lin Learning Centre in 2003, driven by a clear vision: to create a learning environment where every child feels supported, understood, and capable of growth. With over 20 years of experience as an educator, she has spent her career helping students not just improve academically, but develop the confidence and discipline to thrive well beyond their school years.

Her approach to teaching is rooted in genuine care and consistency. Cherlyn believes that real progress comes from understanding each student as an individual, recognising their strengths, addressing their struggles, and helping them build a solid academic foundation at their own pace. This philosophy has shaped the way Shi Lin Learning Centre operates today, from its emphasis on small group tuition to its close, ongoing communication with parents.

Beyond academics, Cherlyn is deeply invested in the personal growth of every child who walks through Shi Lin's doors.
